OUPV & Masters License Renewal

Your license must be renewed every 5 years. There is a one year grace period, but you cannot use your license during this time. The Captain School will provide you with the paperwork for the renewal of a license - free of charge.

If an applicant does NOT have the required 360 days on the water, you may take a 1-day renewal class in lieu of time on the water. This is an 8-hour refresher class with a test at the end of the day.

Requirements

• U.S. Coast Guard Renewal Checklist
• A license application
• A copy of both sides of current OUPV or Masters license
• Current Drug Screen
• Current Physical/Eye exam
• 360 total days on any water in the last 5 years OR
  a Renewal Course certificate
